Designed in 1930 and situated in the foothills above the Palo Alto, CA school, the golf course is consistently regarded as one of the finest anywhere on the planet. As far as its status as a college course, Stanford was listed as number 3 in America in a poll taken of golf coaches. That means those students who make the golf team have got to be pretty darn good to play this rigorous course. And they most certainly are.
