July 13 – 14, 2013
Palo Alto Art Center
Enjoy creative arts and fabulous fun at the 21st Annual Palo Alto Clay & Glass Festival, July 13-14, at the Palo Alto Art Center. The largest show of its kind, the prestigious 2-day celebration presents beautiful and functional hand-crafted art created from clay and glass, including pottery, sculpture, abstract and urban wall art, bowls and plates, home décor and mixed and three-dimensional mediums.
The Annual Palo Alto Clay & Glass features 175 juried artists displaying contemporary and traditional art works that are practical, whimsical and original. See and take home stunning vases, glass sculptures, patterned pottery, playful garden accents and gorgeous hand-made jewelry. After you browse the artist booths, go meet the professional artists, learn about their art and get an inside look at their amazing creative process.
Enjoy engaging hands-one activities, including pottery-making, wheel-throwing and live glass demonstrations and watch raw materials turn into beautiful shapes. Be part of the creative fun at two interactive art projects - Color the Creek, a fun ceramic project with white ceramic pieces for painting, and Clay For All, an experience to play with clay. This year’s festival will include live acoustic music
Presented by the Association of Clay and Glass Artists of California, this wonderful festival is a creative explosion of aesthetics and expressionism in the eclectic and very artsy town of Palo Alto, California.
